Every part, every time

The PC Helper Bench Check

18 numbered steps between intake and your doorstep. Every unit runs the same list, in the same order — and nothing lists without a PASS.

The Bench Check, step by step

18 steps in 4 phases. This is the whole process — nothing happens off the list.

Phase 1

Intake & serial logging

Before a screwdriver comes out, the unit is on the record.

  1. 1

Logged in with an intake ID

Every unit gets a unique lab ID the moment it arrives — one unit, one ID, one report.

  2. 2

    Photographed from every side

Condition is documented on arrival, before any cleaning or handling.

  3. 3

    Serial number recorded

Photographed in frame and tied to the intake ID, so the unit you receive is provably the unit tested.

  4. 4

    Declared condition cross-checked

The seller's description is compared against what's actually on the bench.

Phase 2

Deep clean & inspection

A close physical look before any electrical load.

  1. 5

    Full dust-out

Heatsinks, fans and shrouds are cleared with filtered air.

  2. 6

    PCB inspection

The board is checked under bright light for burn marks, bulged capacitors, corrosion and bent pins.

  3. 7

    Fans, ports and connectors checked

Fans must spin freely with no grinding; ports, headers and brackets must be intact.

  4. 8

    Repaste where needed

Aged or dried thermal paste and pads are renewed, and the work is noted in the report.

Phase 3

Stress testing

The pass/fail heart of the Bench Check — under load, on the clock.

  1. 9

    POST and stable boot

The unit must complete a clean power-on self-test on the bench before any load is applied.

  2. 10

    Category stress applied

FurMark/3DMark-class stress for graphics cards; sustained all-core load for processors.

  3. 11

    MemTest-class pass for RAM

Every memory module completes a full, uninterrupted test pass.

  4. 12

    SMART health for drives

Drive health readout plus a sustained read, so wear is measured — not guessed.

  5. 13

    Burn-in hours

The unit is held under sustained load for its category's set burn-in window.

  6. 14

    Thermals logged throughout

Idle and load temperatures are recorded — the exact numbers you see on the report.

Phase 4

Documentation

Nothing lists until the paperwork is done — and only on a PASS.

  1. 15

    Full report written

Every check, result, temperature and burn-in hour is written up against the serial number.

  2. 16

    QR sticker printed and bonded

A QR sticker linking to the report is fixed to the unit itself, not the box.

  3. 17

PASS — the listing goes live

Only now does the part appear in the shop, with its aggregate bench stats shown publicly.

  4. 18

    FAIL — rejected and returned

Failed units are never listed; they go back to the seller with the test evidence.

What we check, by category

Each part type gets its own test bench. These are the checks it has to pass.

CPUSustained all-core load, thermals logged
RAMMemTest-class full pass

Until a part is yours, its listing shows only the aggregate bench stats — pass status, temperatures, stress hours and the check count. After delivery, scan the QR sticker and enter the phone number from your order to open the full report: every check, the serial number and the test video. Each part is backed by our 7-day DOA window and 30-day tested-part warranty.
